  1. Is there a way to output to TV through firewire? I have a Hollywood DV-Bridge that converts DV to Analog, but I am trying to output MPEGs, DIVX, etc. I found a program called "video2dv" that allows you to output video (through firewire) to your DV camcorder, which is essentially the bridge. This worked great until I accidentally ran PAL setting on the program. Now it won't play in the NTSC setting, even after I reinstalled it. It will only start playing the file if you set the transmission to PAL. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

  2. I tried using the same program, however the video transfer rate seems to be slow (the video outputs in slow motion with the sound in sync). Both NTSC and PAL settings dont seem to make any difference to the output.

I am running on the Win2000, 650MHz machine.

I've tried sending DV to the bridge to watch it on TV several times, with different software, and several computers (266Mhz to P4 2 Ghz). NO luck! Just one more reason why I love my bridge
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

  4. Nightscooter, if you had the program working properly before, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to do it again.

What I would do is unistall the application, make sure all of the files installed by this app are deleted off of the hard drive.

Then I would search through the Windows Registry (you are using Windows aren't you?) for entries related to this application and delete them all. Basically, you need to get rid of every possible method this app used to store configuration information.

Then reinstall the app after rebooting.

I wish I knew more about DV, Firewire and using cams as bridges, but I hope this helps.
