divx and codec problem

Hi all-

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOo confused. I downloaded divx and the codecs.....where do i extract these files to?
After extracting, it will work automatically?? Pls advise.

There should be a setup file with it and once you run it it should install it automatically for you. You could also just get the Nimo Codec pack and that would install the codecs you need also. Here is the website for it.

the full nimo pack is full of spyware - go for the "lite" pack, also your codecs should end up in your system32 folder

Thanks for the tip i did not know that it had spyware in it. Any idea what spyware it installs?? I guess it is time to run adware to get rid of it.
