  2. At least I can tell you this is not normal. I rip much faster with my AOpen 16x DVD. Well, to be not lying, I just got 1 vob file which gave me some probs on a movie. Rest went fine, when I tried that single vob file again it went at 1.3-1.5x. Do you have this at all DVD's? Or just at one single movie? Maybe the movie disc may be the problem. Else I would go back to the dealer where you bought it and asked for a new one.

Hope this help you a bit.

  3. Did you open the movie with a software dvd player (power dvd, windvd, etc..) before ripping?

  4. thanks for your replies

Why would i go back to the dealer? It definately is a 10x DVDROM - when i rip music of CD's i get about 10x-> but bearing in mind it should be 32x shoudn't it?

No i dont play the DVD first in any software, could this be the reason?

This could be the reason. Try playing the dvd first and let us know what happens.
