Green blocky subtitles when using DVD2DVDR ??

Just did Lord Of The Rings F.O.T.R. to DVD-R using DVD2DVDR..

While it all worked perfectly, the subs that come up when they speak in Elvish are green and blocky, a bit hard to read but not too bad..

Just wondering how do you get these to come out white and not blocky ?

Is there a setting I missed or something.. ?

Other than that, this DVD2DVDR works great, just very slow

Hello,

This problem has been discussed in detail at Doom9.org's IFOedit forum.

You have to copy the subtitle color table (in HEX) from the original IFO, to your new one. Its 16 lines long, 3 HEX entrees per line. Have fun, or you could try IFOupdate to transfer the table for you.

The instructions are in the readme check out program files\dvd2dvdr or see below



If you have selected Subpictures, you have to do additional steps


- start IfoEdit

- press 'Open' and select the path to the file 'ORIGINAL.IFO'

- press 'Open' and select the path to new generated IFO file 'VTS_01_1.IFO'

- mark in the upper window of IfoEdit the file 'ORIGINAL.IFO' and select under 'VTS_PGCITI' the PGC you have copied with DVD2DVD-R

- menu 'Subtitle Color' -> 'Copy Colors from this PGC'

- mark in the upper window of IfoEdit the new generated file 'VTS_01_0.IFO' and select under 'VTS_PGCITI' the 'PGC 1'

- menu 'Subtitle Color' -> 'Paste Colors to this PGC'

- press 'Save' to save the new ifo

- close IfoEdit

Now the files are ready to burn!
