Yesterday, I made a post about having a problem when copying from vcd to vhs, thanks a lot it works fine now. I have one final question which I hope you can help on. I have converted my file to pal and everything is great. However it is too large to fit onto one disk so I need to split it. I have tried to do this with a program which is mentioned on here (the name escapes me) but this can open the MPEG1 file but can only save as avi. So I can split the file but then I will need to convert it back AGAIN to MPEG1 to get it to play. I have seen people on here say that you can do this with TMPGENC however I do not seem able to do this, I am not sure whether it is something that I am doing wrong or my version (2.5)?. Does anyone have some advice so I can get round this. My brother has a copy of Adobe Premier 6.5 on his computer, will this do the trick, and if so is it straight forward. Thanks a lot for taking the time to read my epic !!!.

Use mpeg tools in TMPGEnc.
File
Mpeg tools
Merge and cut
Select file type as mpeg1 video cd
Add your mpeg file
Select your start and end points for the first half
Enter an output filename
Click run
Repeat for second half of movie
