I just got a new MiniDV Camera. Its a Samsung MiniDV Camera SCD86. I have a Adaptec AFW-4300A Host Adapter Firewire card. The Firewire card came with MGI VideoWave 4, and I have been trying to do some captures and I have been getting two errors.
The first is "The supplied user buffer is not valid for the requested operation"
And the second is "There is no common media type between these pins"
I havent been able to make any captures. And I need help.
Thanks in advance.

Try DVio. Link is in the tools section (I think), or do a search of the forums for it.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they? -
Also try Scenalyzer Live. If neither of those 2 work then you probably have hardware or at least driver troubles. I you haven't already, update to DirectX version 8.1.

I tried DVio and it didn't work. I have DirectX 8.1, and was thinking about updating to 9, maybe that will help. I think its driver trouble. I'll try Scenalyzer Live.
