I was wondering if anyone knows how to unlock a quicktime(.mov) so that it can be re-encoded to and .avi or .mpg file. I have a music video from and enchanced CD that I would like to convert to .avi or .mpg if possible but when I use my QT6 I get an error message saying the file is locked, so it doesn't allow exporting/importing.

This post explains how to switch export/save protection off http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=124856 its actually pretty easy once you've done it a couple of times.
