I have two questions to ask about an avi that I downloaded. I downloaded the ring (japanese version) and it is 25 fps. When I play the movie on my computer it is widescreen and seems to play perfectly.
When I split the movie and burn to vcd I use tmpgenc and set them both to pal. The first cd plays perfectly except that it is not widescreen, even though i set it to keep aspect ratio. The second cd has jerky video and is also not in widescreen.
Does anyone know why the second cd would be jerky when the first one is not? I've tried other settings like ntsc and ntsc film with the same jerky results but in ntsc film it stays in widescreen. And, although it is not as important, why is the movie becoming full screen? If it helps i live in America and my dvd player claims to not support pal format but seems to play it. Thanks for any help!
