Here are system specifications:
CPU: Celeron 2000 Mhz
Graphic Card: Riva TNT 2 Ultra (that's what i'm capturing with)
RAM: 128 MB
OP: Windows 98 SE (XP and W2000(ME) refuse to even recognize svhs input)
I'm using Avi_IO for capturing with ASV2 codec at 704x576 resolution.
I get very good results with those settings with very small amount of frame drops (average 0-20 for a 90 min. movie).
Those drops are hardly noticeable, BUT...even when there are no drops at all i get some strange picture distortion...every 5 minutes or so...
Here's an example(100 kb) that shows how they look like:

That happens when i'm using Huffyuv codec too...or even when i capture at smaller resolution.
BTW...Hard Disc I'm capturing at is IBM(7200)/15 GB FORMATED and DEFRAGMATED paritition WITH NO OTHER FILES ON IT!
Any ideas?

What kind of connection is going to your card? (composite/co-axial/s-video/etc...) This would help me determine the problem a bit better...

link doesnt work ... just some pr0n on your homepage ..
dont bump your posts -
Wow...that was funny
Link does work but don't open it in explorer..."save as..." works fine for me. -
OK, I've upgraded RAM from 128 to 512 MB...and i still get these annoying distortions...so i guess, RAM is not a problem anymore, and the proccesor(Celeron 2Ghz) should be able to handle hi-res capturing.
Please HELP!!!
