I am trying to convert a vob file to mpeg from a couple of movies. I am using tmpgenc. It will encode all the files exept for part of the first one how come and how do I get around this?

Normally the first VOB file of a DVD rip is some kid of intro or logo that has no time information. So maybe you don't need this part at all.
