  1. Hi, I thought that i would share this great piece of news.

I was looking for a DVD player that i could use with my panasonic dmr e30 recorder.

I tried all the Macrovision hacks and region hacks, but still no go.
due to the CRMS built into every dvd player, i thought about getting a APEX 600, or a APEX 3201, but i found a much easyer and better way to go.

i found this unit made by Pyle audio, its mainly for a car, but it comes with a 120v to 12v cord, a remote, and its not very big. and look at the features.

    but here the good news,

    NO MACROVISION<
    NO CRMS INSTALLED<
I am not sure about regions, but it plays directly to mypanasonic dmr-e 30 like a charm
    8)
    no jitter, no problems.
i checked it with 15 movies new and older that i knew would Record. and ones that have macrovision all i get is flawless copies!!

now its press play and record and i am done!!!

anyway the unit is packed full of features

    s-video out
dolby digtal (RCA) no fiber optic.
    front inputs rear inputs
    18 ft IR extender.
plays DVD's SVCDS, CD's MP3's, and has a built in tv tuner
    4 channel rca outputs
    multiple subtiltes
    PAL/NTSC
    remote control
    and alot more

anyway, i am happy and it saved alot of time for me.

It would seem that the DVD players for cars they didnt add the protection to.

    VERY COOL

    BILL

  2. Don't know what this cost you but the $129 Sampo 631CF does the same thing with a simple CD firmware hack, been using it with my DMR-E10 and E20 for over 8 months now and it even has a Compact flash reader card for digital camera's also, or unhooking that IDE cable from the reader and adding either another DVD-Rom or 20-40 gig Hard drive also, for hours of MP3 music.
