  2. there are several solutions to your problm:
    - cyberlink's powerdirector
    - arcsoft's video impression
    - ulead's video studio

personally, have tried all 3 of above: roughly same features/functionalities; depends on personal taste/preference in user interface

    have fun

  3. hey synpc, thanx for the info, but i am very stupid, and i was looking for some free software to use to make my avi movies to work on a dvd player.............i tried to use nero, but it keeps saying that its missing an image file or something, so what else could i use for free?

i have saved all my avi files to a disc, and i have almost 30 discs, with at least 2 to 3 movies on each disc, and i want to know how to put them on another disc so they will play in a dvd player.............and everyone., forget about emailing me, ill just come back here and check it

cuz i have had at least 100 views and only one person responded
    thanks

The reason you are not getting replies is because the people on here get pissed off at newbies (who clearly haven't even read any of the guides) wanting tailormade guides on how to put their stolen movies onto VCD.

If you actually want help with making VCD's then start here.

  5. check out nero vision express or something, if u have a legal nero burner, then shld be able to upgrade and get the the sw whcih has the encoder

what u need is an encoder that changes the avi into mpeg1 so nero (or any burner) can accept

As someone wrote before: Read the HOW TO convert section. All answers to your questions are there. All tools nedded are freeware, and found under (surprise!) Tools. In short: TMPGEnc and VCDEasy with the occational sprinkling of VirtualDub (and some CD writing software that knows how to write cue/bin, if your burner isn't supported by VCDEasy).

    But - Read the howto!
