Then convert it all and split it later 8)

    TMPGEnc
    File > Mpeg tools > Merge&Cut
    Type "MPEG 1 Video CD" > Add > Your.mpg
    Edit > { start } end > OK > Output > c:\part1.mpg > Run
    Edit > { start2 end (At end) > OK > Output > c:\part2.mpg > Run

You now have 2 .mpg files split in half

  6. Depending on what you are encoding, it is often better to set the source ranges and encode each section in turn rather than "splitting" -- especially for VBR type encoding as it avoids problematic MPEG cutting afterwards.

What are the settings of your source file and what are you trying to make?

In any case, since you seem to be able to encode the whole thing at once, try cutting the MPEG into two pieces. You can try using TMPGEnc (choose the appropriate setting: for standard video CD (MPEG-1 Video-CD), for XVCD (MPEG-1 Video-CD (non-standard)) and the SVCD setting for X/SVCD).

If TMPGEnc doesn't work, try searching the forum on other methods of cutting.

    Regards.
