Quality Wise, nothing both burn or record at the same great Quality but neither one is compatable with each other, right now only the Sony 500 burner can use both formats for burning, I have a Panasonic DVD Recorder that uses the -R's and they work great and have played in about 80% of all DVD players I have tried, I also have a HP DVD200i burner that uses the +R's and they even look better than what I can get off my recorder, not a whole lot but a bit better, and so far all 100% +R' and +RW's I have burned have worked in any DVD player I have tried, thats after I do the Bitsetter trick to make all my +R's burn to DVD-ROM, price wise the -R's are a little cheaper but not much, name brands are same price but I buy the cheaper Riteks in -R for $1 and get the +R's for $2 ea.
