I think my problem is solved, but I want to document it somewhere on the internet so other beginners may find a resolution quicker.

I bought a dazzle mojave system (sold by Dell) on eBay. When capturing using MGI Videowave 4, no video preview was shown. To get preview, a connection between the capture card and video card is required. The capture card dictated a Video Inteface Port (VIP) 1.1 or 2.0 connection.

I was planning on buying a new video card with VIP capability, but I began to wonder about the undocumented 26-pin connector on my Creative Graphics Blaster RIVA TNT. After posting a question on Creative's support site and extensive searching via google, I got no information about the mysterious 26-pin connector. So, I went to work and made a 26-pin ribbon cable for testing. I connected the capture card and the graphics card. After no smoke, I tried the preview and voila, it worked.

In the end, the 26-pin connector on the Creative Graphics Blaster RIVA TNT card either supports VIP or supports another standard that is undocumented in the Dazzle capture card.

I hope this helps someone else in the future.
