I want to capture a 120min movie and turn it into a VCD without loosing to much quality, but i only have 5 gig of space avalible.
Can sombody recomend a codec (and settings) that will give me a good quality with a resonable file size?
I prefer vertual dub, if i use the hyfu codec i lose about 3% of my frames(good) and with everything else its like 99% and bad quality. Divx low-motion gave good size and quality but the output was jumpy because of loosing frames!!!!!
I have:
PII - 500 MHz
128 mb RAM
13 gig drive with 5 gig for this project
The movie is:
Animated
1/2 - Dark action
1/2 Bright action
Always action
Hop thats everything u need

Motion Jpeg is going to be your best bet. Try a Quality 18 setting. With 5 Gigs you might have to lower the setting to 15 or 16.
