  1. Well a AMD Athlon XP 1700+/266 FSB Thorougbred Processor CPU 1700+/ 1.47GHz be good enough to make a vcd?

  2. Depends on what you consider "good enough"... just about any computer can make a VCD, it's just a matter of how fast. My old Pentium III/650 mhz machine is just fine if I leave it on overnight to convert.

Depends on the format you are converting from and converting to. Also depends on the software in use. Could be .5 to 1.5 times real time or more.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

You really dont give us anuff info on what type of file your trying to make into a vcd or if your encoding or burning a vcd or any logical info. post something useful other than "how long will it take to make a vcd?".

  6. Sorry I'm really new to this but I'll try and make it really clear. If I wanted to converte an AVI to VCD how long would that take using TMPGEnc using an Intel 2.4 GHz or with AMD ATHLON XP 2100 1.7 GHz. Do you think the time could be about the same for both?
