Just experienced some problems converting dat to m1v/mp1 on tmpgenc.
as follows:
dat file is 640Mb.
Method:
open tmpgenc
select mpeg tools
select simple demultiplex
Input file = the dat file
video/audio output file as xxxxxx etc
It produces from the original dat file of 640Mb
m1v approx 140Mb
mp1 approx 40Mb
Can anyone see the flaw in my method or is it the format of the original dat file that is the problem?
I have read the link vcddvdr.
I have many vcd`s that I wish to put on to dvd-r
Lovely day isn`t it -- may go for a stroll.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for anyone who viewed this.
Put down wrong information in the first place.
Silly me forgot that all my vcd's r at different specs so r not true mpg compliant that was why tmpgenc was fallin over.
Have to re-encode them all bit of a bugger but nevermind.
Tatty bye.If tomorrow doesn`t exist where shall we all be the day after tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
