    I have a copy of the QT MPEG2 encoder... TWICE. One copy says that it could not find a video stream. The other copy works. Oddly enough the working copy disapeared. Anyone else run into this problem or something similar? New to Macs in a sense but not new to machines at all so any help on any level would be appreciated. Thanks.

    The component is usually located at:
    /system/library/quicktime/QuickTimeMPEG2.component
    or maybe:
    /system/library/quicktime/QTMPEGExport.component
    (the former may be the decoder)
    It works with QuickTime Pro to export your QT video as mpeg2.
