Sorry if this topic comes up a lot, never been here before, Anway....Ive got a Sony Digital Video Camcorder, Ive been using DV cameras for a while now but there is one problem that I cant figure out. When I caputre the video off my camera onto my computer it looks fine, but when I convert it to an MPEG file after editing it, it looks really shakey like my hands were shaking while taping. I know its not me because I purposely set the camera up on the tripod to see what it looked like, I had the same problem. Right now Im using Pinnacle Studio to capture and edit my videos, Ive got Adobe Premiere now but havent installed it yet. Anyone know how to solve my problem? Its bugs me so much becuase once Ive got my finished product in MPEG format it looks like crap.PLEASE HELP.

I don't have a digital video camera but a friend had that same problem. The raw footage was crystal clear, but once he edited and converted to DVD the output was crap, It seems that his editing software was lousy at encoding so after doing the editing he saved the output again as DV AVI and then did the encoding to DVD with tmpgenc, now all his edited home videos look awesome. I don't remember what software he was using, but his problem was practically the same, so maybe it’s worth a try.
