    Hi,

    Will the playstation 2 play dvd Backup films without beeing chipped.....

    i have the region x disk to change the region for import dvd`s but not tryed a dvd-r.....

    Do i Need it chipped !!!!!

    Nope.....mine ps2 plays backups just fine whitout beeing chipped....
