Here is my problem....
I have been making SVCDs for a while and had everything down.THen I got a Pioneer A04 DVDR/RW. I read the guide for putting SVCDs onto DVDs using TMPGenc, DVDpatcher, and spruceup. All was going well untill I found out that spruceup has a problem with my burner.
No problem I think as I download Nero 5.5.9.14 and install it.
So I go back into spruceup run through the steps.... repatch the MPG2 to trick spruceup, build my menu, save my progress and exit spruceup, patch the file again to bring it back to orig. specs, start spruceup, load my project, BAM!!!! spruceup craps out. now it does this every time.![]()

Why can I no longer load my projects after I put my movie file back to the way it was???

If I'm understanding you correctly, you've patched the mpg(s), designed your structure, and then save. Are you actually *creating* the vobs at this point and then repatching the vobs themselves?
I don't use SpruceUp; I'm using DVDMaestro. I go through the same steps as you do (using the demuxed video), except that I compile the vobs after designing the structure. Then I patch the VOBS back to svcd res....then create the cd image using Maestro and burn using Alcohol 120%.
BTW, I haven't seen it mentioned on the forums anywhere, but using patcher allows me to play the svcds (in dvd format) on PS2's...
Oh one more thing. I'm converting/transcoding the audio to ac3 format (instead of mp2), and creating an audio sync track. Works every time as far as keeping the audio in sync, and it allows me to just append the second part of the video stream (from a 2 cd set) to the first in maestro in perfect a/v sync....

No, I just save the project, so I can repatch the video stream before I create the VOBs. As per the guide found on this site.

I have tried dvd workshop, and sonic my dvd, but they re-encode the files and greatly increase the size. I want to not re-encode anything so I can fit multiple movies on the one disk. Does DVD Maestro create everything without reencoding? -
My expierence with Spruce. Import the video assett patched as 352x480. Don't do anything else, just import the video assett. Re-patch to 480x480 with DVD Patcher. Open Spruce and import your video assett again. Works everytime for me.

hey wulf109, do you use windows 98 or windows2000/XP when doing the header patch method? It works for me in 98 but crashes spruce in 2000/xp.
