Got a question for those who are mavens of DVD rippin'. I use Smartripper to rip a DVD for backup. When I drop the 1st VOB file into WinDVD, the beginning of the movie is there. That is, WinDVD shows the very start of the movie (not the menus, etc. which I don't expect, but the studio information, etc.), so SmartRipper seems to be doing its job. However, when I use DVDX (1.8a) and click on the IFO file to begin a translation to MPG, the first :58 seconds of the movie does not appear in the final MPG (and the timeline shows :58 from within DVDX at the very start). However, if I click on "Open MPGs" from the DVDX menu and select all the VOB files, the beginning of the movie makes it to the final MPG translation. Any idea what may be happening and how to get things working correctly?
Thanks...
Aaron
