Hi,
I downloaded a NTSC DVDR of "Signs", mounted the image and ripped in the usual way, SmartRipper, DVD2AVI, TMPGEnc, DVDMaestro, Nero.
The resulting DVD+R works flawlessly on the PC DVD player, but when played on a standalone the playback is jerky. Picture and sound quality is A+, just jerky during motion, kind of like 3 frames forward and 2 frames back. It doesn't look like a low frame rate or slow motion.
Does anyone know why ? Or has anybody had this problem before ?
I am a noob at DVDR, but have done lots of VCD/SVCD's. This is only the third DVDR I have done, the first one (Resident Evil) plays fine apart from the last five minutes, but works perfectly on the PC. My second (Star Trek: Insurrection) works perfectly.
Please help, I don't want to waste any more discs.
