.mpg burning (?) problem

I have trouble burning a VCD, it just doesnt work
The mpg seems to be fine, I checked it VirtualDub, and Nero also burns it without any problems. But when I put the VCD into my DVD Player it doesn't start.
Its recognized as a VCD, but the drive just makes scaring sounds and ater a few seconds it stops spinning.

Have you burned it compatibile to the whitebook - using Neros wizzard for creating VCDs? (not just burned the file to disk)
If yes try to create a menu page and see if you can get at least the menu started.

Hehe, yea, I used the wizard and did not just burn the mpg.
I made about 70 VCDs before. But this time is the first time that it didnt work.
