  1. Hi!

I've recently tried to make good CVD files with ac3, and I converted from an XviD avi. In the end I've experienced a problem wich I do not know how to solve. I will take the process as short as I can.

I did the video conversion with DVD2SVCD using CCE. Checked source as avi, and hit advanced mode. Aspect ratio for this movie was 16:9. in frameserver tab I hit Resize to CVD resolution. Bitrate setttings was 2800 avg 300 min and 3500 max. In encoder I had CCE selected, with multipass VBR (4 passes), Image quality Priority 25, and field order automatic. In advanced I hit CLose all GOPs and DVD compliant, the rest I left as they were. After this, i hit encode. I aborted the audio conversion, since I wanted to do this with Nandub and BeSliced/BeSplit. The video was in 23.97 fps(NTSCfilm), and I wanted to leave it that way(had to change it in the end as I will tell you).

When video encoding finished, I quit the pulldown. I the did the audio. Extracted with nandub using save WAV and direct stream copy. Rewrote the header to AC3 with BeSliced/BeSplit.

After this i muxed the files, since I wanted to author them in DVDit PE. I used BBMpeg for this. I just loaded up the files, and ticked the ~DVD option. After that i muxxed them. The file worked very well in WinDVD, with quality of both audio and video. When I tried to load the file into DVDit, it didn't accept it. I then ran the 2:3 pulldown on the videostream, and changed it to 29.99 fps (NTSC). Just wrote "pulldown.exe filename.mpv newfilename.m2v" and hit enter. I multiplexed the video in the same way I did before. I came up with a new file and DVDit accepted this one. It allowed me to do everything, and it all went fine until I wanted to build the DVD folder. The process started, but when it came to "Planning project: VOBU" it came up with an error message that looked like this:

Could not complete the last command because:
The GOP structure in the cell starting at
00:00:00:00 in the PGC "pres 3" could not be
    broken into VOBUs.

The fact thet DVDit played the file well, and allowed me to add chapters and all that stuff confuses me. What have I done wrong, and what can I do to correct it?
    Any help would be appreciated!

    Bulten

  2. Is there noone that is wise that could help me with this?
You all seem to be doing so well with your own DVD-R's. Is there noone who can tell me how you would do it, to make it work, or has noone really done this before?
