  1. I was just wondering, like there's DVD-2-SVCD for free, is there a DVD-2-VCD software, free or commercial ?

    Thanks,

    Luke

  3. Well, yeah I know about that one, but it kinda sucks and it's quite primitive. I wanted actually to find out if there's a performant COMMERCIAL software that does that ...

    Thnx,
    Luke

Considering the DVD consortium requires DVD player makes to print in several places:

YOU ARE FORBIDDEN FROM MAKING COPIES OF THIS DISK OR DISABLING IN ANY WAY THE DISK SECUIRTY. THIS DISK IS PROTECTED BY MACROVISION SIGNAL PROTECTION AND CONTENT SCRABLING SYSTEM. YOU ARE FORBIDDEN TO COPY THIS DISK OR DISABLE THESE SYSTEMS.

    Take a guess.

    NO.

  6. Well, in US your allowed to have a backup copy for 'personal' use but the movie companies dont have to make it easy to do so and making such a program for sale to copy DVD -> VCD would probably be illegal anyway because of the DMCA and the CSS encryption on most if not all dvds.
