  1. I'm trying to burn an mpg file that I have as a vcd, that I wish to play in my dvd player. When I followed the steps given by the tutorial, the cd burned fined. However when I went to play it neither by computer dvd player nor my home one would acknowledge the file as playable. I used an 800mb/74min cd-r and everything appeared to be going fine. Has anyone else experience such a problem? Can someone help me?

What program did you use to encode the MPEG file to make it VCD compliant? What program did you use to create the VCD? What player does your computer use, and what is your home DVD player?
    Hello.

  3. The (S)VCD has to be encoded at the correct frame size and frame rate for it to work with DVD players and DVD software. You can't assume the original MPEG is encoded in the correct format. Check the "What Is" and "Author" sections of VCDHelp for instructions on the correct formats and encoding techniques.
