This (might) be caused by a Macrovision (copy protection) signal. The ATI drivers (and maybe the board hardware itself) is set to react in this manner when it comes across Macrovision.

Don't try any driver patches you may find, none of them really work. Your best best is a video patch-in, patch-out box going into your composite... really the only way I'm aware of that should eliminate the signal.

TV as in the internal tuner?... hmmm...

Do you have digital cable/satelite? I've heard rumors that some (only some) companies and channels are actually adding macrovision signals to the broadcast... but maybe just a rumor...

maybe try the ATI patch and see how it goes, just for the heck of it... it's somewhere on doom9.net's page...

I do know that for me, it was overly sensitive with that "feature" that caused the frame loops. It may take drastic meastures.

  6. i have an ATI TV Wonder card. I am running my satelite through it with no problem. the only capture program i am useing is the mmc7 from ATI's website. only problem i've come across is captureing at two high of a bit rate. if your thinking of useing the patch for disableing the macrovision, good luck, if you get it to work possibly post here how you did it. i couldn't get it to work.......
