  1. Hi,

I have a SVCD (mpeg file) that is 795 MB and 59 min in length. This will brun onto 1 CD with overburn, but the CD writer (HP 9300) does not support overburn.

What else can I go to fit it onto 1 CD.

  2. Hmmm....it should fit onto 700 MB CDR/RW without overburn........you could trim the ending off a bit (i.e. end credits, if present) as a last resort.

    Regards.

To expand a little on what OKewl said. CDRs are labeled with their mode-1 capacity. VCDs and SVCDs are burned mode-2. An 80 minute CD when recorded mode-1 has a 700 meg capacity, encode that same CD mode-2 and it has an 800 meg capacity.

  4. When I load the file in VCDEasy it says the cd size will be 806MB in red on the bottom. What does this mean.

It means the bin/cue image file will be about 806MB. I think that should be just about exactly the capacity of a CD-R80.
