    Not sure if this is me, Nero or Spruceup but I had a heck of a time getting Vcd's to burn properly on a DVD+rw. The problem was that the inital menu would not load in the Dvd player (stand alone.) I used spruceup to create the disk layout, then copied all the files to Nero as a DVD video. This same method worked for me with Svcd's. I was able to get it to work finally by picking DVD ROM and copying the two folders to the layout and burning. It included a file burn.lay file which I guess was created by spruceup.

    Anyone know what is going on here? Thanks.

    Well over 50 views of my post but no replies. I guess the answer is not known. It does not matter much as I was able to successfully burn the vcds to dvd with nero. I just used the dvd-rom method and copied all the files including the dirs.
