I've ripped several movies in both Smartripper and Decryptor. Now I'm having all kinds of problems with Sum of all Fears. It has soo many up front titles that the main movie starts at VTS_4_.vob. When I try and play the ripped titles up front, it just jerks through them and hangs. If I go straight to the 4 title (main movie) it will play fine.
ONce I have processed them in IFOedit to split to 2 DVD's and to reloacate the VTS sectors, Power DVD won't play them. If I try and preview them in Nero, I get an error message "No vaild VTS volume found". I play it anyway and all I get is the two text screens that are disclaminers.,... no movie. This is the same for any title,... even the main movie.
What I'm trying to do is view the ripped and split movie to make sure that it plays before I burn it. My last resort will be to burn it to a dVD+RW and see what happens. I've also seen in Nero an option to "repair a damaged database". Can anyone tell me what this will do. I have alread ran "create VTS sectors" and it seems to work fine... corrected all the changes made after the split and movement of other files into Disk1 and Disk2 VideoTS folders.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
