  1. I live in Australia, and picked up one of these units yesterday. Managed to burn a few music vhs onto a dvd-r, without any problems...Finalized it fine, and it works great in the E30 itself, BUT will not work in standalone players. I tried it in my XMS 750, which has always played EVERYTHING and all i get is a "Bad Disc" error message, yet it plays fine in the recorder??? The disc i used was a TDK 4.7 gb..Anyone know what the problem may be, is it the disc? Any help would be much appreciated..Anyone else had this prob?

Thanks very much, love this forum! I dont bother with phone support or anything anymore when it comes to VCD/DVD/Burners... i just visit here!...But i have never had to post before, because all my answers have been found with the search function until now...

    Cheers everyone, happy new year.

  2. it could be the disc or actually your dvd player. i ad the older panasonic dmr-e20, but i now own then ewer dmr-hs2 (with ahrdrive). thep roblem is that however these machines burn the disc, on some players mainly oldero ens the disc do not play or play horribly 9ex freezing and such). on my newer palyers they work fine

  3. Thanks for the info...I think you may be right! I went to my local HiFi supermarket and tried the same disc on about 6 different players (Panasonic, LG, Samsung, Pioneer, Teac, etc) and it worked on all of them bar one shitty LG player! So thats a 90 percent success rate i guess! I guess the XMS 750 sucks for DVD-R. Shame, it plays every other thing.

    Thanks for the feedback.

  4. Older DVD players don't read the disks as well as newer ones(not sure how old yours is), so that might be a reason. Some brands of media work better on certan brands than others. Usually it's only cheap media that I have had problems with. Try different brands of disks and see which ones work best for what you've got.
