I got more than 50% dropped frames when capture video from my analog camcorder (Sony):
Computer: Acer
CPU: 2.4GHz
RAM: 384MB
Hard Drive: 40GB+60GB
Windows XP Home Edition
DMA is set to "If DMA available"
Capture format: 384x288
Compression: Huffyuv 2.1.1
I used both VirtualDUB (with WDM wrapper) and Ulead VideoStudio 6 to capture this video.
Any one has idea what problem caused the huge drop frames?
The C Drive is 40GB - 5400rpm and D Drive is IBM 60GB - 7200rpm. Is it a problem to set the slower hard drive to C Drive?
Thanks,
Kinlun Yu
