  1. I am REALLY unhappy with 321 Studios - Unconditional 30 day money back guarentee - lousy return policy. So I wanted to warn anyone reading this.

I figured (incorrectly) that DVD Copy Plus was more than just Smart Ripper and DVDX... and some help files. Like DVD X Copy was a engineered from scratch program . wrooong assumption.

So I asked for a refund and/or to upgrade to DVD X Copy. They informed me that if you download the software you can NOT get a refund.

To upgrade to DVD X Copy, it is $70 versus the $99

You also do not get the Free DVD Photo Pro with the download.

Be sure to order the CD !!!!

Now they did give me $30 off the upgrade and also the coupon for $20 rebate of any movie... so not a total lose.

Anyone like DVD Photo Pro ? am I missing anything ?

  2. Can you dispute the charge with your credit card company? "Unconditional" should mean unconditional.

  4. To my shagrin... when you select download purchase a popup comes up warning you that no refunds allowed and that you do not get the DVD Photo software...

So the automatic click we tend to do.. got them $49.99...

So I guess I was fairly warned... They should have it on the main page...
or tell the buyer a little more obvious.

  5. I've warned people many times and let this thread be another warning... 321 Studio DVD Copy Plus is a collection of freeware programs, packaged together without the permission and against the wishes of the original authors (which is illegal since it countervene's their copyright and user licenses).

Their refund policy is a JOKE though probably not illegal.

My opinion is that this company is SCUM and everyone should think VERY CAREFULLY before doing business with it.

  6. I ordered dvd copy some time ago ( I think it was like last summer )
I have a dial up connection so I went with the cd version.
It took a while to get the disc and by the time I did get it I had discovered this site with a simple search on google. Had d/ld some of the software and was using the guides for vcds.
So when I got the disc from 321, I was very disappointed, that all it was was a package with freeware and most of it was out of date! I was already using newer versions of the programs!
I immediately called them and told them that I wanted a refund. They did not put up a fuss, but did ask why. I told them that the programs were out of date and I didn't want it. Again, no trouble just send back the disc (at my cost) and I would get a refund.

I guess I got lucky because what I did was carefully put the disc back into the package that they sent me, a little glue here and there. Took it back the the post office the same day I got it, told them to return to sender that I did not want it. It looked like I had not opened it so I had no problem. Returned at 321's cost ---hahaha!!!

Called my credit card company and also with no problem, received credit for the charge.

Like I said, I guess I was lucky!

dvd copy was a joke, I never tried dvd x copy. But coming from 321, I wouldn't even try it!

Derrow seems like such a great person, I still wonder was persuaded him to join that bunch of flakes at 321!!

Actually, DVDXCopy works great if you are using it to burn a single layer disk.
I have a hard time putting only one movie on one DVDR, much less putting one movie on TWO DVDR's!!!
