  1. How do you go about deleting a file when everytime I try to move it to trash a screen pops up and says it is in used by another task right now (which it isn't... I have restarted about 10 times since I have had it). At the bottom of the screen it says try again when the task is complete. I really need to remove this file. Please Help!

    In terminal goto the folder where the file is and type: sudo rm filename.ext

    That should do it

    If you're ever stumped, without an internet connection, cant remember those handy Unix commands and still have OS 9 on your computer, boot into 9 and delete the file. OS 9 could give a toss about OS X and permissions.

    You can also log in as root to delete the file.
