Okay I'm new at this and it's driving me crazy. I get the VIDEO_TS ready to go and I started off using nero but was having problems with the DVD not working on some players.
So after reading some forum opinions I tried Recordnow Max. The first DVD went off without a hitch, then it was all down hill from there. Whenever I create a new data disk in recordnow and move the folder over to the folder and file area they turn red and the program gives me an error code when I hit record.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks

Be aware that there are different versions of RecordNow....
RecordNow
RecordNow DX
RecordNow Max
and maybe more.... -
That error probably has something to do with the fact that you are stripping movies with IFOEdit and not getting VTS Sectors. Either that, or you are keeping that default powerdvd file in the folder which makes the VIDEO_TS folder, non_compliant. But if you did the first DVD without a hitch, then that was probably because you made a direct backup of a single layer dvd and now you are stripping and didn't get VTS Sectors. If you did use IFOEdit, get VTS sectors on the main movie .ifo file and you should be set. Let me know if that is what it was.

I have had same problem. I been using Prassi 2.0, same really as RecordNow. I find that if I keep menu then Prassi will not burn it. So I use Nero and it's OK.
If I do movie only using IfoEdit then Prassi has no problem with it then.
All movies have worked in player and I did do get VTS sectors each time. I am just starting DVD to DVDR and I don't have a clue why this is happening though.
You could try Gear Pro 6. That won't let you burn a bad DVDR. -
How do you record with Recordnow MAX anyway? Seems not to be as easy as Nero anyway. Is Data disc the right optionto chose, and then add the VIDEO_TS folder. Or is there anything else that should be done to make it work? How did you do it smiggy? Maybe it has something to do with this...
