Im a really really newbie, like a couple of days ago i heard about vcd and wanted to get into it. Well anyway i downloaded some videos off the net in .rm format and i was wondering if i converted it to divx would the quality improve? or which format would have the best quality in converting from .rm?Thx

Converting will never improve quality, it will always make it worse. The format you want to convert it to is up to you. Depends on your wants/needs/eyes.
