  1. I try to convert a divxmovie to vcd with TMPGenc. But it won't load the file...read the "how to" section and tried the things they suggest, but still it won't work.

When I try with v.12a as suggested I get an error message that "lenght and width should have a factor 8" (....or something like that)

can somebody give me a good advice??

  2. Does TMPGEnc give an error message regarding to opening the audio stream? In that case the audio in the DivX may be 48kHz MP3. Let VirtualDub convert the audio to PCM wav (select audio -> full processing mode and compression -> none PCM then file -> save wav) and feed this as audio source to TMPGEnc (together with the original DivX as video source).

Also check if you can play the DivX in e.g. MediaPlayer. If it doesn't install DivX codecs.
    Regards,
