  1. Everytime I attempt to import a wav or mp2 file into DVD Maestro I get the following message:
    Invalid Sampling Rate 0xc10b006
Any Suggestions about what I'm doing wrong.
When I convert the files to ac3, with Soft Encode, I still get the message.
    What settings should I use.

well it could be that your sampling rate is invalid.

Seriously, I don't know what you started with, or what you're trying to end up with. It could be something as simple as you trying to incorporate a soundfile that is sampled at 44100 Hz, when Maestro--being DVD-compliant--will only accept soundfiles sampled at 48000 Hz.

If that's all it is, just do SRC (sample rate conversion) in a good app such as CoolEdit before encoding to MP2 and/or before importing into Maestro (or SoftEncode for that matter).

tell us a little more about your setup, sources and destinations. with more detail we can give a more pointed answer.

  3. You may be right. I've been using a 44100 Hz sample rate. Thanks for that. I'll give it a try and see how I go. I really appreciate the feedback.

  4. It worked. It's always the way isn't it. Such a small thing like that could cause so much trouble.

  5. Hmm,... I'm having the same problem. I converted an mp3 to ac3 in besweet and checked the "force input sample rate" checkbox to "48000", but I still get the sample rate error in Maestro.

    Any ideas?

  6. OK, I used bsweet to convert my audio file!!
The forced input doesn't really matter as far as I can tell.
It's the output that matters. You can have a forced input of 48000 and still get a result of 44100. Also look forward to the audio file not being in sync with the video file. You will need to sync it up in maestro.
    Cheers

  7. I downloaded ac3machine and set the ouput to 48000 khz and now maestro imports it just fine.

ac3machine uses besweet underneath too, so I'm guessing that the only difference is the command line statement that gets generated from this program and the besweet gui.
