I recently started trying to make my wife some Karaoke VCD's. Its been a full time nightmare.
I finally got 25 file files complied using CDG2AVI (with DIVX) and TMPEnc to make the Mpegs. Then I used Nero to burn them to disk in VCD format. I got an error that says "2-pass mpeg" was used? I seem to remember this 2-pass somewhere but I do not remember changing it and I can't find it to change it back. When ths VCD plays, it just rolls but all the karaoke and music is present.
Cab soneone help?

I've never converted a Karaoke disk but the 2 pass option is pretty much what it implies. Instead of making a single pass and encoding your file, it makes two passes with the first peforming more of a test. It suppose to create a higher quality MPG.
How does the file look when you convert it to AVI? If it looks good and is in synch, maybe you should try using a faq here on the site that utilizes DVD2SVCD to convert an AVI to a VCD or SVCD. If you want to try it, check out the how to: http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/userguides/111846.php
Otherwise, here are a couple links I found on the subject of Karaoke & VCD:
http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/userguides/78196.php
http://www.karaokeplayground.co.uk/help/converting/cdgtovcd/cdgtovcd.htm
If none of this works, you should try searching on http://www.Google.com or http://www.alltheweb.com for other solutions.
Good Luck.
