I have a standalone Pioneer DVR-7000 which I have used to "master" my discs.

I am now wanting to add menus and chapter stops and such via the computer as it can't be done on this unit.

I was looking at something like the Pinnacle DV500 DVD & DVDit! for possibly doing the work?

Questions :

I was going to play my master dvd-r disc from a dvd player into the computer - Is it possible to somehow capture the video to the HardDrive via your Computer System's own dvd player? Or do you have to capture from a completely seperate outside source, like via the s-output from your dvd player to the breakout box?

I was also either going to purchase a Pioneer internal drive to burn to, or either burn the completed work back out to the Pioneer DVR-7000.

Do you guys have any suggestions for this setup?

Any potential problems or situations I need to be aware of from the description above?

Video Quality is the most important factor, as I must be able to produce the highest quality video with no loss, and have the ability to tweak and adjust scenes and such. I want to end up with a high quality "master dvd-r" with menus and chapter stops for navigation.....ANY advice or suggestions? I am new to this as far as using the computer, but have been using the standalone Pioneer for sometime now, but need a way to get menus to the recorded discs. I should be able to capture screen grabs for menu pics and such from what I can tell about the setup???

THANKS !
