I can't get to first base. I've done what I was told. I downloaded VCDEasy ver. 1.1.4b5, (full version) and was told that the CDRCDAO function could be downloaded through ADAPTEC, ver. 4.71.2 I was told that I needed the ASPI files in order to make the VCDEasy work. Fine. So I copy the ADAPTEC file, unzip it and there's a batch file. I click it, and a "DOS" window opens up with a choice of files, one of which is for my OS (XP Home), BUT the DOS window says hit any key to continue, and the window closes immediately. So...I tried using a different batch file, and it installed the ASPI files ONCE which was recognized ONCE by the VCDEasy software. Now, the CDRCDAO portion of the window is greyed out,and I can't use the VCDEasy software.
During the time that VCDEasy "saw" the CDRCDAO/ASPI files, I tried to burn a mpeg1 file that I previously encoded with software from the digital camcorder I bought (a Sony). I tried to "burn" the mpeg file, and saw the blue bar at the bottom travel, and saw the window at the end. But pray tell where' s the file??????
I now have a "bin" file that's abut 300 M, and my previous mpeg1 is about 143 M big. What DO I DO NOW??????
I have two problems: 1) how do I burn a VCD on to the CD-R disk?; and 2) how do I get VCDEasy to recognize the ASPI files????????????HELP!!!!
