DRU500A using DVDXcopy

I have an intermittent problem w/ the DRU500 using Xcopy that I hope someone knows how to fix.

I used Xcopy just fine for making backups of my DVD's for about a week before I upgraded to 1.0f f/w on the Sony DRU500. Now I'm getting an error about 50% of the time from Xcopy after I have copied the source DVD to my HD. When I insert the blank media to start the burn process, Xcopy gives an error stating that it's "waiting for disk to be inserted". It ejects the tray and won't recognize any disk media until I restart Xcopy.

I've uninstalled Xcopy a couple of times and reinstalled it, but I still get the error. Maybe I should go back to 1.0d f/w. Anyone have a copy I can get?

Don't know what the exact problem is but there is a website with previous firmware.
