I try some DVD9 to DVD5 conversion with both
DVD2DVDR (http://users.pandora.be/DVD2DVD-R/)
and
DVD2SVCD(http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=114252),
I use the same cce2.5 setting, 4pass, but the video quality of DVD2DVDR generated Movie is worse than DVD2SVCD, especally on fast moving
objects.
So far, right now every time I take DVD2SVCD's video result, and the
audio/subtitle/chapter data from DVD2DVDR, then author them again
with ifoedit to get my final movie.
Anyone got the same issue? any comment on it? or do I miss something? why do I use the some video sorce and same cce encoder(same setting), but get the difference video quality?

mpeg2002,
You must not be applying pulldown. Make sure on the encoder tab if you are doing NTSC FILM that the forcefilm flag is checked.
PS if you are going to be doing subtitles make sure "set drop-frame' is also checked.
