Hi,
(New to ripping DVD's). I've used Decrypter, than IfoEdit. VTS_01 is the main movie. Removed unwanted audio tracks etc. Just kept Vobld 1. Then "striped". The size of my resulting files was 4.5G - just too big. (Also removed region & user prohibitions).
I don't need chapters 1,2 which should make it fit. How can I do this?
Alternatively, is there a easier/better way?
Thanks in advance.
Mark

I'm new to this also, only been doing it about a month, but after reading thousands of pages, I feel I have come a long way. As far as your problem goes, I won't cut out a chapter or two of any movie to make it fit, but if that is what you like, you should have no problem. All you have to do is choose IFO mode in DVD decryptor. Once you choose that mode, I believe it will show you all of the chapters, and you can just delect chapters one and two, rip and author. Then it should fit, as long as removing chapters 1 & 2 will give you the necessary space to not exceed 4.37 GB's. Another option you may want to endeavor upon is transcoding a single vob in an entire movie set. I have not done this either, but Vidhack has a thread on this. Just do a search for transcoding VOB on this forum, and it will lead you there. Good luck
