I'm encoding replays of a racing game to svcd.(did I say that right?)
I get the replays from the game in .avi format at 30 fps. The sound is saved seperately as a .wav file. I use Ulead MovieStudio 6 SE DVD to put them together as an mpeg2 and burn a svcd. When I play it (it's only 5 minutes long), about 1.5 minutes into it the video will stop on a frame and the audio continues.
It does this on both my stand alone and pc.
    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

  2. Open the avi file in vdub and check for bad frames. Click on video, scan video stream for errors. Bad frames can cause a freeze in the video.

If there are bad frames save the file with a new name. It will be saved without the bad frames.

  3. I had this exact same problem. I'll try that Craig Tucker.

    Thanks for the reply.
I scanned for errors and recieved an error. AVIOuput: The parameter is incorrect.
As I said earlier, this avi file is a replay of a game. I don't understand how it could be corrupt.

    Thanks for your help,
