i have noticed in a few of these posts that it takes anywhere from 4 to 10 hours to convert divx to mpeg.
when i convert it only takes me the length of the movie i.e
cd1 is 50 minutes,it will only take me 50 minutes per cd.
is this right my mpeg seem to work great quality the same as the divx.I use tmpgenc.i have a pent 4 with 128 megs rdram.is this normal
thanks

Í assume you are converting to VCD and use normal motion search precision. If you used high quality/very high quality in motion search precision, the encoding time would be much longer. If you wanted to make SVCD, the encoding time would also increase.
