Disc-Direct Authoring with Movie Factory 2

Has anyone had good results with Movie Factory 2's Disc-Direct authoring (ie - no DVD-R coasters):

"Disc-Direct Authoring - Go from camcorder or TV tuner directly to disc and bypass your hard drive all together. Simply choose your menu template and DVD MovieFactory 2 will capture the video, create your scene selection menu, and burn onto CD or DVD automatically."

I've got some video that doesn't require editing. I've got Movie Factory 1 and DVD Workshop 1.3 installed; neither have this feature (although it would be possible to capture direct to MPEG2 and burn from there using DWS's MPEG-Direct feature).

Anyway, just wondering if this feature lives up to its claim.

yep, for me it worked as advertised. My brother had asked me to convert the birth of his twins that was captured on miniDV to DVD+R. I attached the firewire cable to my sony TRV25, put my brother's tape in the camera then started up MF2.0. I put a DVD+RW (I used +RW since I didn't know what kind of menu look my brother wanted using +RW would allow me to change it later.) in my Memorex burner. MF2.0 is wizard driven so it's a no brainer. Just select the "Direct to Disc" icon on the left side follow the instructions and and choose your options. I love the "Auto" feature in the chapter select you'll know what I mean when you select it... When you get to the end click on the "Output" icon on the bottom the wizard and wait...

I'm running WinXP Pro on SOYO Drag+ 1800XP 512MB RAM 120GB WD Memorex DVD+R/RW.
