Hi, I got a DVD writter and i want to know if a copy of a retail DVD to DVD-R can be made with no quality loss?

If it's a single-layer disk (4.37GB or less) you can. Most current disks are however dual-layer (over 4.37Gb). Dual-layer disks can be stream ripper and this will sometimes allow copying without trancodeing but the majority of DVD's will most likely need to bo trancoded to a low bitrate.
